Materials for all classes must be purchased at Knit On! If you already have needles or other tools, those may be used in class. Unless otherwise noted, the cost of materials is not included in the fee. Most fees are for instruction only. Please call the shop to reserve your space in class. Class size is limited, so we ask that you pay ahead of time to ensure your attendance. |

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Learn to Knit or Crochet/Student’s Choice with Sally Dixon Sally will take you through the basics of learning to knit and beyond in this series of classes. Take as many or as few classes as you need. In your very first class, you will learn to put stitches on your needles and begin to knit using the knit stitch and yarn over increases. In your next class, you will learn decreases and how to take your work from the needle to everyday use. This class has a rolling admission, so you can join at any time. Come for as many sessions as you wish! Already know how to knit, but just need help with a new project? This is the class for you. Students love this class and come week after week as they hone their knitting or crochet skills. FEE: $16 each for the first three class sessions, then $12 for each class session thereafter. The Great American Afghan Knit Along with Sally Dixon Join Sally as she knits the Great American Afghan, one of the most popular afghan patterns we sell! Each month participants will work on a different square. You may join this group at any time.
FEE: $36 for a three month pass (3 classes). Materials are extra and may be purchased at Knit On! the day of class.. Santa Baby Sweater Set with Marcie Brooks Your Santa Baby will be the cutest kid in the neighborhood dressed out in this holiday ensemble of sweater, hat and booties. Learn to make the basics for baby in this three session class. Pattern sizes are 6 months, 12 months and 24 months. Students may use other yarn colors as desired and must be able to cast on, knit, purl and bind off.
FEE: $55 for instruction only. You will purchase your materials the day of class at Knit On! Fair Isle Knitting with Rachel Scheller Do you love the look of colorwork knitting, but always thought it was too hard? In this two session class, Rachel Scheller will teach you how truly simple colorwork knitting is. You will make this Nuthatch Hat from Colorwork Creations. The hat is knitted from the brim up, so in order to save classroom time, there is a homework assignment to knit the solid colors of the brim. Students will need to choose their yarn and needles prior to the class.
FEE: $45 for instruction only. You will need to purchase materials at Knit On! before the day of the first class in order to complete your homework. Fast and Furious Designer Projects: Complete in 2 Hours or Less with Marsha Polk Something for everyone! Quick and easy projects perfect for gift giving. Supplies include “designer’s/shop choice yarn), beads buttons, ribbons and other embellishments, appropriate crochet hooks and/or knitting needles, needle felting supplies.
FEE: $35 for instruction only. You will purchase your materials the day of class at Knit On! How to Sell My Stuff with Marsha Polk This is a special workshop for anyone who is interested in selling their knit or crochet pieces. This is also an interactive workshop and you are encouraged to bring in finished pieces that you would like to sell. Marsha will discuss several approaches to achieving financial success in the needle arts business specific to the product your want to sell. Topics include: identifying your product, identifying your market, choosing the right venue and others. FEE: $35 for instruction only. Advanced Tunisian Stitches with Marsha Polk Take Tunisian Crochet one step further. Learn to work the Tunisian Purl Stitch, Tunisian Arrowhead Lace and the Honeycomb Stitch. Techniques for creating the Tunisian Honey Comb shell (pictured) will also be explored. Basic crochet skills are a must (chain, single crochet and end work). Must also have completed Tunisian Crochet Basics.
FEE: $55 for instruction only. You will purchase your materials the day of class at Knit On! Sunday Night Knitting Group - Every Sunday 5-7 pm Every Friday, stop in at Knit On! for a few hours of relaxation as you unwind after another week. Bring the beverage of your choice and a project to work on or choose a new project from our gorgeous selection of luscious yarns! There is no charge for this event.
