We rovide a variety of classes based on customer requests. If you do not see a class you want offered, contact us to tell us what you would like to take. We will be happy to create a class to fit your needs.
All class fees are for instruction only unless otherwise noted. Materials are extra and must be purchased at Knit On. Cost will vary depending on materials chosen for your project.
The following is a list of our classes. If you know how to knit and purl, you are ready for any of the classes beyond our Learn To Knit class. Unless otherwise noted, all classes are on a rolling admission - you may join the class at any time. Click on a class name for a description of the class.
Learn to Knit (Beginners)
2 hour sessions - $16 per session
Learn the basics of knitting: cast on, knit, increase, decrease, yarn over and bind off. BONUS: Felting and pattern reading. You will be making a felted potholder with a decorative edge. Take as many or as few sessions as you need! Pattern provided by the instructor. Most students finish the beginning project in 2 sessions and start a second project.

Learn to Crochet (Beginners)
2 hour sessions - $16 per session
Learn the basics of crochet: chain, single crochet and pattern reading. Take as many or as few sessions as you need! Pattern provided by the instructor.
Continuing Knitting
2 hour sessions - $12 per session
Take as many or as few sessions as you need! You choose the project you wish to make and the instructor will guide you through it, teaching you any new skills needed.

Socks
2 hour sessions (as many as you need) - $12 per session
Socks are the perfect take along project. Small enough to keep in your purse, you can pull out a sock in progress just about anywhere: doctor's office waiting room, traffic jam, soccer game, check out line at Kroger's. The all-purpose project, you can knit a sock in any stitch from mindless stockinette to a challenging lace or entrelac pattern. Socks are a great bang for your buck project. One skein of yarn will keep you busy for many hours. And the best part of sock knitting is slipping on that finished sock!

Hats!
Two 2 hour sessions - $28
Hats make great gifts and knit up quickly. You will learn to knit in the round using a circular needle and double pointed needles. Make a hat to match each of those great scarves you have made! BONUS: Take both Hat and Mittens classes for $14 more, a savings of $14!

Mittens!
Two 2 hour sessions - $28
Mittens are the perfect project - small enough to carry in your purse and lots of fun to make. When finished, they are warmer than gloves. You will learn to knit in the round using double pointed needles. Another great gift to go with those scarves. BONUS: Take both Hat and Mittens classes for $14 more, a savings of $14!

My First Sweater
Four 2 hour sessions - $56
From pattern and yarn selection through finishing, you will learn how to make a sweater. Not every yarn can be used in every pattern. Learn about gauge, properties of different fibers, how to select the correct needles for your pattern, shaping a garment, and putting the pieces together.

Entrelac Backpack
Four 2 hour sessions - $56
Entrelac is a fun and interesting technique that can take a project from plain to pizzazz! Put together your own palette of five colors to creat a fabulous Felted Knapsack. You will learn not only entrelac, but felting and putting in grommets as well.
